Cimasa Dialysis
Cimasa group's ten haemodialysis clinics are reference centres for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic renal pathologies in Campania.
Standard haemodialysis treatments are available but also high-flux haemodialysis and on-line haemofiltration treatments, according to the specific needs of each patient.
In addition a nephrology and vascular surgery division is available at Clinica Maria Rosaria in Pompei. It is specialised in the placement of any central venous catheter as well as in arteriovenous fistula sealing, both native and prosthetic. In 2009 alone, about 450 vascular access operations were made here, which is a record for Italy. The forecast for 2010 is about 500 such operations.
Cimasa provides a homely mood through the helpfulness and experience of the medical and paramedical staff, who know the needs of patients subject to chronic and complex treatments, like haemodialysis.
Holistic approach
Their approach is holistic, aiming at the general wellbeing of the patient. This means not just relying upon effective equipment, but looking for the best conditions to handle the therapy: correct diet, psychological support and prompt special examinations as required.
Cimasa centres provide a medical check-up to monitor the main primary renal pathologies (glomerulopathies) and secondary pathologies such as hypertension and diabetes that are responsible for chronically impaired renal function.
They then diagnose renal dysfunctions and decide the most effective treatment. Patients can also contact Cimasa centres 24/7, so that any potential emergencies can be dealt with promptly.
